Last updated September 25, 2026. These terms cover the FreeMacSpace Mac app and freemacspace.app.
Merchant of Record
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides customer service inquiries and handles returns. License
A paid plan grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use FreeMacSpace on one Mac. You may deactivate that Mac in the app and move the same license to a different machine. Sharing one license across two Macs at the same time is not allowed.
Plans shown on the site are intro prices: $4.99 per month, $23.88 per year ($1.99 per month billed yearly), or $49.99 lifetime. Checkout is handled by Paddle. Prices can change for new purchases; your Paddle receipt is the record of what you paid.
Trial
Scanning and exact previews stay available without a trial. Moving files unlocks with a 30-day trial or a license. One trial per Mac. The trial does not require a credit card. Download the app from the download page and start the trial on your Mac.
What the app does
FreeMacSpace measures reclaimable space and lets you move items to Trash, or delete permanently after you review them. Categories are labeled Safe, Rebuildable, or Review. You are responsible for what you choose to remove. Permanent delete and Empty Trash ask for a typed confirm. See the Privacy page for what stays on your Mac.
Restrictions
- Do not resell, rent, or sublicense the app.
- Do not redistribute the DMG or license keys as your own product.
- Do not bypass license checks, except where the law allows.
- Do not use the app to access files you are not allowed to access.
Refunds and cancellation
Paid plans include a 30-day money-back window. Monthly and annual subscriptions can be canceled anytime before the next renewal. Full details are on the Refund & Cancellation page. You can also request help at hello@freemacspace.app.
Disclaimer
The app is provided as is. We do not warrant that a scan is complete, that deleted files can be recovered, or that cleanup will be free of mistakes if you confirm a delete. FreeMacSpace is not antivirus, not a duplicate-photo app, and not a speed booster.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, FreeMacSpace and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost data or lost profits, arising from use of the app or the site. Our total liability for a claim relating to a paid license is limited to the amount you paid for that license in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Governing law
Except where mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence says otherwise, these terms are governed by the laws applicable where FreeMacSpace is operated. You keep any non-waivable consumer rights that apply where you live. Disputes about a Paddle purchase may also be handled under Paddle’s buyer terms and processes.
